The Javan Banded Pitta is a bird that is found in forests Java and Mali.

The Javan Banded Pitta male has a yellow eyebrow and yellow-white throat, and the rest of his face and his beak are black. He also has a navy blue stripe above his breast and his belly is heavily barred tan and black. His short tail is dark blue and his wings are bronze with a white strive down the edges. The female is drabber and all of the yellow is replaced with brown, and she does not have the blue stripe underneath her throat; it is replaced with thinner black stripe.
