The Bornean Banded Pitta is a pitta only found in Borneo.
Description[]
The male of this species is very similar to the Javan banded Pitta; the only differences are that the male of this species has a blue triangular shape in the middle of his belly instead of solid barring and it lacks the blue throat stripe on the Javan Banded Pitta. The female of this species is a drab buff colored belly and head and her crown and back are a chestnut color and she keeps the brown wings and blue tail of the male.
